The special issue covers all aspects of computation technology, including algorithms, software and systems, and applications. RICE-18 draws researchers and application developers from a wide range of data management related areas such as big data, image processing, data mining using multimedia environment based researches including the high performance computing. By promoting novel, high quality research findings, and innovative solutions to challenging computational technology, the conference seeks to continuously advance the state-of-the-art in computational technology. The International conference RICE-2018 is one such step towards the exchange of ideas for development of computational technology for society welfare.

The main intent of this Special issue is to cover both the theory and applications of various computation technology. It aims to provide an intellectual forum for researchers in Academia, and Scientists and Engineers from a wide range of application areas to present their latest research findings in computational technology and related research areas to identify future challenges in this novel combination of research areas.

While this special issue is aimed to bring together extended version of few significant articles from International conference on RICE 2018, it is completely open to external submissions for authors who have not participated to the conference.
